Osage Casino and Hotel Skiatook Opens

RIBBON CUTTING: Osage Nation Principal Assistant Chief Scott Bighorse and Osage Casino CEO Neil Cornelius cut the ribbon to open the Skiatook Hotel and Casino. Also pictured are Osage COO Joe Olujic, Osage Congressman Raymond Redcorn and Osage Gaming Commission Member Candy Thomas.

The Osage Casino and Hotel Skiatook opened Dec. 9. The 78,000-square-foot gaming facility was designed by Marnell Architecture, the firm behind the design of the Rio Hotel and Casino and The Bellagio. The new Skiatook Hotel and Casino redefines the experience patrons receive at local casinos.

The opening revealed the new gaming area and the 33-room, three-story hotel that includes 31 standard rooms and two suites. The hotel also features a fitness center, swimming pool, breakfast dining area, meeting room and convention space.

The casino floor contains 300 electronic games and six table games which are adjacent to a grab-and-go counter, bar and restaurant inside the hotel lobby. The restaurant in the new casino features a casual dining experience that seats up to 60 patrons.

The opening featured a ribbon cutting ceremony with Osage Nation Principal Assistant Chief Scott Bighorse, Osage Casino CEO Neil Cornelius, Osage Manhattan Builders Senior Project Manager Brian Travis, Skiatook Mayor Randy Sien and Skiatook Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Stephanie Upton.

“We are thrilled to unveil the new Osage Casino and Hotel Skiatook to the community,” says Cornelius. “We have worked tirelessly to complete this project on time and are excited to showcase entertainment and economic growth in Skiatook.”

Osage Manhattan Builders, a majority 51 percent Osage-owned company that provides construction management, general contracting and design/build services, is responsible for building the Osage Casino and Hotel Skiatook.

“The city of Skiatook is thrilled to have this great new facility in our community,” says Sien. “Not only is it a great venue, it is great for the economic stability of Skiatook.”

The facility also includes a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week “OC” convenience store with eight fueling stations providing gas and service to local, lake and seasonal traffic.
