The SemGroup Sports Courts, located at the southernmost part of the Gathering Place, are now open. They can be used for impromptu or organized games. The sports courts are designed for basketball, volleyball, street hockey and street soccer.
Courts are lit at night for visitors to enjoy.

The Gathering Place Park Ambassador for the SemGroup Sports Courts is Lee Mayberry, who was recently hired as the assistant coach at Oral Roberts University. A Tulsa native and Will Rogers High School graduate, Mayberry joins the ORU women’s basketball coaching staff after a one-year stint as assistant coach at Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Before coaching the Wildcats, he was a part of Head Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Anderson’s staff at the University of Arkansas. Selected in the first round of the 1992 NBA draft as the 23rd pick, Mayberry spent his first four years in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks and played in 328 consecutive games. He then went to the Vancouver Grizzlies to play his final three years and accumulated more than 2,500 points and more than 1,700 assists in his pro career.
