On Feb. 18, Jenks Public Schools Foundation will hold its 2017 We are Trojans Dinner and Auction at the Cox Business Center Tulsa Ballroom, 100 Civic Center in downtown Tulsa.
All proceeds from the event will benefit programs funded by the JPS Foundation, such as STEM Learning Labs, Junior Achievement’s BizTown, Artists in the Schools, Jenks Wild, Vision of Excellence Awards, Go Noodle and AVID.
The annual fundraiser not only serves as an important fundraising initiative for the foundation but it also provides the foundation an opportunity to recognize and thank the donors who support the foundation, Jenks students and the Jenks Public Schools community, says Elizabeth Inbody, JPS Foundation executive director.
For the event, Jenks elementary students have created over 80 unique and creative silent auction baskets which will be up for bid at the event. Basket themes are varied, ranging from a fly fishing basket to a special reading activity with Superintendent Dr. Stacey Butterfield. In addition to the silent auction, a live auction will take place with several vacation getaways available as well as tickets to concerts and dining experiences.
The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour; event activities begin at 6 p.m.
