Prior to her performance at Gathering Place this past December, Tulsa native and Jenks High School graduate Majeste (pronounced “majesty”) Pearson took time to visit with Jenks vocal music students in the music building on the campus of Jenks High School. She talked to them about her career in the arts, shared her musical experiences, and sang for an audience of students and parents.

Pearson, 22, the daugher of Bishop Carlton Pearson, is a former contestant on the hit TV show “The Four: Battle for Stardom.” She appeared in the second season of the show which premiered in June of 2018. Pearson is currently attending New York Film Academy and is studying musical theatre. She has performed alongside famous artists such as Stevie Wonder and Dee Snyder. Her ongoing focus is to pursue life, connect with others through artistic outlets and opportunities, and to inspire healing and global restoration.

A student at Jenks Public Schools through fifth grade, Pearson relocated to Chicago with her family for several years before returning to Tulsa for her senior year at Jenks High School. At JHS, Pearson was a member of the show choir and graduated as a member of the Class of 2015.

While in Tulsa, Pearson performed on the Gather Round stage at Gathering Place as part of the park’s Winter Wonderland Holiday Market.
