After two years of providing website and marketing services to many athletic programs in the Oklahoma area, Tulsa-based company AthleticOffice announced recently that they have officially entered the Big Ten Conference by signing a deal with Indiana University. The announcement was made following the launch of their newly designed interactive website created for the Hoosiers, WinTodayIU.com.

“It has been a great experience working with AthleticOffice,” says Jeff Sims, senior director of player personnel for the Hoosiers. “Because they are former college athletes and coaches they really understand our needs and what works for us.”

The website is designed to illustrate the entire Hoosier experience, putting a spotlight on the university, the athletic department, the city of Bloomington and the traditions that make being a Hoosier unique.

“The new website positions Indiana Football to be at the forefront of the Big Ten in terms of branding their program,” comments Blake Smith, a 2003 Union High School graduate and current president of AthleticOffice. “It will enable them to send a clear message to their fans and recruits.”

AthleticOffice websites address a major issue with today’s media and social landscape. While social media has brought teams closer to fans than they have ever been, the amount of social networks used makes it more difficult to effectively reach them. In response to this issue, AthleticOffice developed the “#SocialHub”, which integrates Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other social networks into a central location where site visitors can interact with all the content.

“Because the majority of our websites are powered by our social media application, it allows coaches, players and fans to actually provide the news and content simply by tweeting,” Smith says. “We are extremely happy for the opportunity to provide our product to Indiana and excited for the future of AthleticOffice.”

AthleticOffice.com is a Tulsa-based company created in 2012 by brothers Blake and Dexter Smith, both former football players at Union High School. Initially conceived as a social network for football coaches called “The Football Office,” the company quickly transitioned into all sports and expanded their services to include team websites and marketing campaigns. AthleticOffice works with many schools in the Oklahoma area including Broken Arrow High School, University of Tulsa and Oklahoma Baptist University. For more information, visit AthleticOffice.com.
