Cheyenne Blackwood and Josh Spears are Union High School’s December Seniors of the Month.
Cheyenne Blackwood, who has attended Union since pre-kindergarten, is the granddaughter of Randy and Cyndi Blackwood of Broken Arrow. She is president of the Union College and Career Crew and works in an industry partnership with Miss Helen’s Private School. She has received honors for two years in math and an award for “Most Hardworking” in her industry partnership. She plans to study business, communications, marketing and art after high school.
Josh Spears, who has also attended Union since pre-kindergarten, is the son of Greg and Denise Spears of Broken Arrow. He is active in baseball, orchestra, TeePee Crew, Union Athletic Leadership Council and Asbury United Methodist Church. His honors include being named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and a member of the Mr. Union 2016 junior class. He plans to study biology and major in pre-medicine in college.
Union Students of the Month awards during the 2016-2017 school year are presented by several strong Union-supporting businesses in the area, including Union graduate Arthur Greeno’s Chick-Fil-A restaurants, located on 71st Street and in Woodland Hills Mall.
