Spencer Farquhar and Sarah Parrack are Union High School’s January Seniors of the Month.
Spencer Farquhar, who has attended Union his entire life, is the son of Mark and Kim Farquhar of Broken Arrow. He is active in football. He plans to attend Tulsa Community College and continue his education at a university, perhaps studying to be a doctor.
Sarah Parrack is the daughter of David and Rebecca Parrack of Tulsa. She has attended Union since pre-kindergarten. Parrack is active in Student Council, MESH Connect, Fuse, all school musicals including this year’s “The Drowsy Chaperone,” Red Cross Club, Special Olympics, and Leadership Retreat. She was a Top 10 Junior, named Best Newcomer of the Year in Advanced Theater, received a Leadership Service Award and a Student Council Representative of the Month Award, named a Tulsa Winterfest Princess, and served as a delegate on the Youth Leadership Forum. She hopes to attend college and become a history teacher to help students with special needs.
Union Students of the Month awards during the 2016-2017 school year are presented by several strong Union-supporting businesses in the area, including Union graduate Arthur Greeno’s Chick-Fil-A restaurants, located on 71st Street and in Woodland Hills Mall.
Additional sponsors and strong Union supporters are Phone Doctors, Christian Brothers Automotive, EyeCare Associates, LaMode Cleaners, RCB Bank, Tedford Insurance, Mathis Brothers Furniture and Chick-fil-A.
Special thanks goes to Tommy Keeter from Christian Brothers Automotive, who is an avid Union supporter.
