Foundation Names Director

NEW LEADERSHIP: Shea Ludwig brings her marketing background to the Union Schools Education Foundation as its new director. Ludwig has two children in the Union school system.

Shea Ludwig has been named the new director for the Union Schools Education Foundation (USEF). Ludwig, a former Darnaby Elementary PTA president and the current 6th & 7th Grade Center PTA co-president, has most recently served as marketing manager for Chris Zinn Group at McGraw Real Estate.

As marketing manager for the Chris Zinn Group, Ludwig developed, designed, and implemented a client-marketing plan, creative marketing materials, such as signage, fliers and digital marketing campaigns, and managed a client database and social media. Ludwig has worked in marketing since 2005 and also developed and maintained her own e-commerce website offering custom children’s items.

Ludwig has volunteered at Union since 2005, starting at Darnaby, serving as homeroom parent, PTA president and vice-president, and in various committee chair positions to coordinate, plan and implement in-school events for fundraising and community building programs.

Upon making the announcement, USEF President Mike Lyles said, “We are looking forward to working with Shea, who is not only well versed in marketing but in the Union Public Schools culture as well.”

She and her husband, Jason Ludwig, are the parents of two students at Union Public Schools, a freshman and a seventh grader.

USEF was organized in 1991 by Union district patrons and administrators who were dedicated to making investments in education and enhancing the quality of life in the community and state. Its mission is to support Union Public Schools, its vision and the students it serves.

It is an exclusively educational and charitable, non-profit corporation. Separate and apart from Union Public Schools, the foundation maintains its own integrity while working closely with the district. Tax-exempt donations from individuals, corporations and foundations are used solely for the benefit of students and teachers for projects that would otherwise go unfunded.
