Union Seniors of the Month Spotlight

Nick Erwin and Lauren Granger are Union High School’s December Seniors of the Month. Erwin is the son of Andy Erwin and LeAnne Taylor of Tulsa, and Granger is the daughter of James and Tina Granger of Broken Arrow.

Erwin is active in TeePee crew, Union Varsity Golf, Union Jazz Choir, National Honor Society, Union U-View video production, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is captain of the Union Bowling team. He is also active as a Community Food bank volunteer, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, as well as Asbury United Methodist Church where he has served as host and volunteered for its spring break missions, Second Saturday and Day of Service events. He is on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and was recognized as an 8th Grade Student of the Month. He has received several bowling accolades for outstanding sportsmanship and bowler; and he was named the 2015 Bowler of the Year.

Erwin plans to attend college with plans to major in either video production or sports management.

Granger is active in Varsity Volleyball, Fuse, MESH, Student Council and Leadership, Cookie Girls, Diamond Dolls, Environmental Club and National Honor Society. Granger is also active at Asbury United Methodist Church and mission trips and with local food banks. She has also volunteered service for Christmas dinner, Cedar Ridge Elementary school carnivals and helped with tornado relief transportation. Honors include being named Freshman of the Year and Month, Athletic Leadership Council, and community service recognition. She was also named Sophomore Class President.

Granger plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in business with a minor in biology, before pursuing a graduate degree in optometry at Northeastern State University.
