The 10th Annual Oklahoma Renaissance Faire in Muskogee is set to begin April 30 and will also be held May 1 and May 6-8, May 14-15 and May 21-22 from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The theme of the event is Renaissance England in an age of sorcerers, knights in shining armor, kings, gypsies and maidens faire. The event showcases horse-drawn carriages through acres and acres of tree-lined lakes and meadows. In the 60-acre park, one will discover 13 stages scattered throughout the forest and castle with all kinds of magicians, musicians, actors, swordfighters, jesters, jousters and hilarious comedy. Participants can enjoy the thatched roof village and Castleton marketplace filled with old world artisans and their handcrafted wares. Also presented are succulent foods cooked over an open fire as well as tempting sweets and drinks.
Tickets may be purchased at The Castle of Muskogee, Oklahoma AAA locations or www.okcastle.com. Group discounts are available on orders of 25 or more and can be used any one Faire day together or individually. Corporate and school packages are also available.
