2 Works for You Launches Social Networking Site for Moms
(TULSA) – 2NEWS Works for You has launched a social networking Web site for moms in northeast Oklahoma. Users on the site can create a profile, blog about topics, share pictures and post conversations in a message board. Parents can find play dates, parenting groups, consumer tips and other parenting tips on tTownmoms.com. Topics on the site range from ‘cooking for children with food allergies’ to ‘working from home’ and everything in between.
“TTownmoms is a site that allows parents to connect with other parents and build relationships with people who are facing the same situations they are,” Trisha Swindle, Head Mom of tTownmoms.com said.
The site also provides an excellent outlet for businesses to capture a narrowly targeted audience and harness the purchasing decision maker of the household. Businesses can profile their services in their own page or advertise on the site to reach this key demographic.
Aside from online networking, tTownmoms hosts a playgroup every Friday at the 41st Street Plaza Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. They will also be attending the Jenks Riverwalk Kid Fest this Wednesday June 17th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees to this event can register to win a free Tulsa Zoo family membership.
“My favorite thing about tTownmoms.com is I have a place to bond with other moms experiencing the same things. I didn’t have this type of platform when my first baby was born,” said tTownmom blogger, Kasey Littlefield. “I love the local connections and updates on kid friendly restaurants and retail stores. I love reading all of the other local moms’ stories and didn’t realize how many funny moms there are in my city! Now I can’t go a day without logging onto Ttownmoms.com,”
Ttownmoms.com is one of 10 branches of the national ourmoms.com that parent company E.W. Scripps also owns. Ourmoms.com launched its first site on March 9, 2007 based in Knoxville, Tenn. called Knoxmoms.com. In its infant stages, that first site only featured simple message boards and directories. Now the company has sites in key cities such as Abilene, Texas; Naples, Fla. and Memphis, Tenn. Each site boasts a fully integrated, state of the art social networking platform that allows moms to create a circle of friends, blog, create photo albums and completely interact with the online tTownmom community.
