Tulsa International Mayfest, which will be held May 13-16 in downtown Tulsa, releases its list of over 100 participating Visual and Market Artists that will be showing and selling their artwork in booths along Main Street during the festival. In addition to these artists, Mayfest will also showcase over 600 local artists throughout four indoor galleries.
Visual artists are accepted into Mayfest after a highly selective jurying process. Fine art in a variety of mediums, including everything from clay to wood, is represented. Additionally, the Mayfest Market is comprised of artists and craftsmen that usually feature items such as toys, folk art, calligraphy, etc. The names, mediums and artwork images of each participating artist can be found at www.tulsamayfest.org.
“We received a record number of applicants this year,” said Heather Pingry, Mayfest Executive Director. “The artists that were selected are truly the best of the best. Festival goers will be able to enjoy a wonderful variety of artwork from artists that travel to Tulsa from around the country.”
