#35 Tulsa Topples ORU Men’s Tennis 7-0 in Spring Opener

Tulsa—The Oral Roberts men’s tennis team dropped an 0-7 decision to the nation’s 35th ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane Wednesday evening in the spring opener at the Case Tennis Center.

Tulsa’s #22 ranked duo of Ashley Watling and Clifford Marsland led off #1 doubles with an 8-1 victory over ORU’s Dmitry Suslov and Dario Beslic.

Suslov had better luck in #2 singles, putting on a strong show against Tulsa’s Alastair Barnes, before eventually falling 6-3 and 6-4.

Mikhail Trukshanin also stumbled to a 6-1, 6-2 loss to #96 Clifford Marsland in #1 singles.

The Golden Eagles are back in action on Thursday, as they take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 9:00 a.m.
