55th Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show is Jan. 31-Feb. 6


Whether you enjoy the blue skies and azure waterways while boating or camping, or your thoughts are on a more sustainable green living, the 55th Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show has a wide-ranging palate. And while you’re shopping, save some green too!

Taking care of our natural world and enjoying time spent outdoors, can be achieved at The Show, which is showcasing “green” products this year. And, along with the hundreds of boats and recreational vehicles available to peruse at your leisure, attendees can also get revved up by the hot entertainment!

To kick-off the show, attend the Exclusive Preview Night! On Monday, January 31 from 6-10pm take a special tour of the 2011 Boat, Sport & Travel Show at The QuikTrip Center at Expo Square , 4145 East 21st Street , Tulsa . Sample free food and drink from dozens of Tulsa ‘s finest restaurants. The night is presented by F & M Bank and Bayliner.

Take aim at Professional Archer Randy Oitker as he brings Tulsa to its feet with his amazing archery skills. Randy holds numerous national archery titles and several Guinness Book of World Records titles including his most recent record which he broke in November 2010 live on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Catch Randy’s live performances Monday through Wednesday at the Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show. These performances are presented by River Spirit Casino.
Watch as the Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show let’s the dogs out! See DockDogs an agile team of canine athletes run down a 40-foot dock and jump into a 40-foot long pool of water to compete in Big Air® (long jump), Extreme Vertical® (high jump) and Speed Retrieve® (fastest dog to the end of the pool) competitions. DockDogsare sure to make a big splash at the show!

If you want to take home your own pet, stop by the Adopt-A-Pet exhibit. Meet dogs and cats in need of a good home from The Humane Society of Tulsa. Applications and donations will be taken on-site at the show. The exhibit is presented by Progressive Insurance.

Whether you like ‘em mild or hot, you will enjoy the show’s first-ever Wing-A-Thon wing-eating contest on Saturday, hosted by and Hooters. Meet the Hooters Girls and enjoy the spectacle of chowing down on America ’s favorite bar food.

Let’s not forget the little ones! There’ll be smiles on the faces of kids and adults alike when SpongeBob Squarepants visits. Meet SpongeBob on Saturday and Sunday. Or take a free ride on the Kids Paddle Boats! This could be your child’s first opportunity to skipper their own boat and learn how to maneuver these paddlers around a pond. Rides are free to kid’s 120 pounds or less.

The Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show has grown to be among the nation’s top events of its kind, besting the likes of Los Angeles , Houston and New York in both attendance and square footage. With 445,000 square feet of display area, the show ranks as the nation’s fifth largest according to the Consumer Travel Agency.

The Marine Retailers Association of America ranks the Tulsa show in the top 10 in the nation for attendance. It is also the largest single and longest running event held in Tulsa , with the exception of the State Fair.

Hours are Monday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during Preview Night; Tuesday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets for the Monday Preview Night are $20. Tuesday through Sunday, tickets are $10 per person. . Kids 12 and under get in free every day thanks to GRAND ASSOCIATION.
