We have so much to be thankful for in our great nation as we approach this year’s Independence Day celebration. We should never take for granted our troops who are on active duty around the world and especially those fighting in hot spots such
as Iraq and Afghanistan. We also salute the families of our brave men and women in uniform and those veterans who have fought and died in defense of our liberties!
Museum of Military History
I am happy to report that Col. R.W. Powell has moved the Museum of Military History to a new location at 6953 S. 66th E. Ave., near the intersection of 71st Street and Sheridan Road. Col. Powell held an open house on Flag Day June 14, when the museum was officially opened to the public. Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor attended the ceremonies, and she read a proclamation declaring Flag Day in the City of Tulsa.
The Museum of Military History is packed with artifacts and military uniforms addressing the different eras of combat throughout American military history, including the American Revolution, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and Desert Storm. Scale models of military aircraft, tanks and warships are featured against the background of the U.S. service flags, as well as German and Japanese flags.

Tulsa Talons
Tulsa’s indoor af2 team is having another great year, and we hope to bring another championship back to our fans. At this writing we are undefeated at home with an overall record of 10 wins and only one loss, and we are the current Central Division Leader. Make plans now to attend our final game July 12 at 7:05 p.m. against one of our most fierce rivals, the Arkansas Twisters. Good news also is that the Talons are performing so well this year there will probably be some playoff games in Tulsa. We appreciate the support of the Tulsa fans, the best in indoor football anywhere!
New KIA Borrego
Primeaux Kia had the opportunity this month to add the newest addition to the KIA family, the all new KIA Borrego. The Borrego marks KIA’s first entry into the increasingly competitive market, the 7-passenger SUV segment. The 2009 KIA Borrego is not just poised to compete; it is set to rack up some impressive wins over the competition. And since it’s a KIA, you can be sure it is safe with standard six airbags and some models with seven. And, of course, it comes with one of America’s best warranties: KIA’s 10-year 100,000-Mile Warranty!
