AFL Week 6 Poll Sees Iron atop all Teams
TULSA, Okla. – The Milwaukee Iron take first place in the Coaches Poll after comfortably defeating the previously unbeaten Chicago Rush. The Rush drop to No. 3, which is the lowest Chicago has been ranked all season. The Jacksonville Sharks nabbed the No. 2 spot, their highest rank this season. All three teams are 4-1.
After the Iron defeated the Rush 71-48, it was easy to see that the Iron would be on top. The Jacksonville Sharks passed the Rush with a close win over in-state rival Tampa Bay Storm, jumping two spots from last week. The Talons also moved up one spot with their win over the Alabama Vipers, last week’s No. 2. Even with the Chicago loss, the Midwest Division is leading with two teams at 4-1.
The Alabama Vipers dropped the most, falling three spots to No. 5 after losing to the Tulsa Talons. The top five teams will all be playing teams ranked below No. 10 this weekend.
