A MD-80 aircraft recently donated by American Airlines to Tulsa Tech’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program was dedicated May 13 at TTC’s Riverside Campus.

The donated aircraft will allow students to gain practical experience from working on a contemporary commercial aircraft. “At American Airlines, we are committed to helping future mechanics and engineers have access to the latest technology and services,” said Bill Collins, Vice-President for Base Operations.

“We are overwhelmed with the generosity that they have shown with this tremendous donation of an air-worthy MD-80 aircraft,” said Tulsa Tech Superintendent, Dr. Kara Gae Neal. “We are confident that our students will benefit from the continued professional support and our partnership with American Airlines.”
