Art Smart Challenge Competition at the Tulsa State Fair Names Winners
Winners have been selected for the 15th Annual Stained Glass Design Competition. The theme this year was “My World” and the artwork of Josh Alix-Lofton, age 12, of Owasso, Oklahoma was selected as the top prize winner. His entry integrated rich color with a powerful design, dominated by an “Exclamation Point” which the judges viewed as an excellent representation of the world we live in today.
As top winner, Josh’s artwork will be enlarged and replicated in an authentic stained glass window that will be presented to him as part of his winnings. Past students of Beginner’s Tulsa Stained Glass Class will begin building the window Monday, October 4 at 2pm. Everyone is invited to watch their progress at the Tulsa State Fair Art Play Center booth located on the lower level, south side of the QuikTrip Center.
Winners will be announced Saturday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Art Play Center booth. The finished stained glass window will be unveiled and presented to Josh at that time along with certificates and prizes to other winners. The public is welcome to join us to celebrate our winners and support art and creativity.
