AWC Tulsa Chapter Presents Annual Workshop
The Tulsa Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications will present its annual workshop Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa. This year’s event will focus on the topic of new media and using it to enhance communications.
The program will provide suggestions for effectively and inexpensively marketing companies online, including using Web sites, online partnerships, RSS feeds and blogs, in addition to establishing a presence on free sites such as Facebook, MySpace and YouTube.
Participants will hear from a variety of Web-savvy speakers, including keynote speaker Ed Schipul, CEO of Schipul-The Web Marketing Company, a blogger, entrepreneur and Internet veteran with more than 15 years of experience in marketing and software programming. Other speakers will discuss topics including marketing companies online, viral marketing, Web site development, e-marketing, traditional vs. new media, search engine marketing, e-newsletters, social marketing and Web site maintenance.
Participants also will have an opportunity to speak one-on-one with Web experts from public relations and Web companies and see live demonstrations on workshop topics to put what they’ve learned into practice.
