Badges, Blazes and BBQ Cook-Off Held
INAUGURAL FUNDRAISER: In September, Owasso and Tulsa police officers and firefighters competed at the inaugural Badges, Blazes and Cook-Off, held at the Kirk of The Hills Presbyterian Church in Tulsa.
The Owasso Fraternal Order of Police () won the judge’s choice award and the Tulsa Fire Department won the people’s choice award.
All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorship of the event will benefit the Juvenile Justice Ministry, a program which ministers to young people who have been convicted of crimes.
