Bailey Honored As “Star of the Week”

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State senior Dan Bailey was honored today by the Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicker Award as one of its “Stars of the Week,” which recognizes three of the top kickers in college football each week.

Bailey had a memorable performance last Friday in the Cowboys’ 54-28 win at Louisiana-Lafayette as he converted 4-of-4 field goals and 6-of-6 point-after touchdowns. He twice converted field goals from a career-long 52 yards — becoming the first OSU player since 2001 to hit two 52-yard field goals in the same game — and also booted kicks of 25 and 47 yards.

A native of Mustang, Okla. who was also named the Big 12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week and the National Kicker of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards based on his efforts last week, Bailey extended his school-record streak of PATs to 163. He has never missed a PAT in his collegiate career.

On the year, Bailey is a perfect 11-for-11 on field goal attempts and 32-for-32 on PATs. He ranks third nationally with 13.0 points scored per game.
