Bank of Oklahoma Collects Books

Bank of Oklahoma, Volunteers of America, The News on 6 and The CW 12/19 partnered to collect thousands of books for underprivileged children throughout Oklahoma during the sixth-annual Caring for Kids Book by Book literacy campaign. In total, the campaign collected 41,084 books this year alone.

Oklahoma residents were asked to bring new or gently used books to any of BOK’s 84 statewide locations. Financial also conducted the literacy campaign in the seven other states in which it has a presence.

“We are very pleased we were able to collect so many books from our clients and our employees,” said Senior Executive Vice President Steve Bradshaw. “More than that, we are excited that these books will go directly to children in the communities we serve who do not have many – or any – books to call their own.”
