Bedlam Battle Today in Stillwater
NORMAN, Okla. — The stage is set for a pivotal Bedlam softball battle Wednesday evening as the 11th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners meet the 12th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls. First pitch from the Cowgirl Softball Stadium in Stillwater is set for 7 p.m. CT. The game is sold out but can be viewed statewide on Cox Channel 3 in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa markets. The two teams meet for the second time this season with having won a non-conference matchup in March, 1-0. Oklahoma has won six straight conference series against the Cowgirls and has not dropped a game in Stillwater since 2003.
Amber Flores leads Oklahoma offensively with a .404 batting average. The OU career leader in home runs also leads the team in slugging percentage (.737) and on-base percentage (.565). Keilani Ricketts (18-7) has 176 strikeouts in 141.1 innings pitched this season. Ricketts has seven shutouts in 15 complete games.
