Tulsa Community College honored the 2012 Best of on May 31 at the Hyatt Regency. The annual banquet honored those who have graduated and/or attended and are making positive impacts in their communities and economies. This year’s honorees hail from Tulsa, Sapulpa, Sand Springs, New York City, Russia and more.

In addition to honorees, four current students were recognized at the event as this year’s Alumni & Friends Scholarship recipients. The students who received scholarships were Blake Neece, Nicole Massongil, Dawn Ross and Jonnie Wilson. This scholarship is funded by proceeds of the Best of event, and students are chosen based on academic excellence.
Dave Lopez, secretary of commerce for the State of Oklahoma, was the keynote speaker.

The banquet also serves as a fundraiser for the Foundation, which provides scholarships for students and grants for faculty, among other endeavors.
