Bixby Educational Endowment Foundation Awards Significant Funds for Learning Projects

Supporters of the Bixby Educational Endowment Foundation () are big believers in education and opportunity. Working with educators, community leaders, caring citizens, and through the efforts of many, approximately $2 million in teacher grants and scholarships have been awarded by since the inception of the foundation. 

members recently awarded checks to nine Bixby Public Schools locations, with two of the presentations shown at right.

In the 2017-2018 school year, more than $167,000 was awarded to teachers and graduating seniors. grants support innovative educational projects that would not otherwise be possible with the level of state funding available to public school students. Contributions promote excellence in all areas of learning, including reading, science, math, art, music and technology. 

is the recipient of the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence “2005 Medal for Excellence,” and received a Local Education Foundation Outstanding Program Award for its scholarship and mentoring programs and for the Century Campaign fundraiser. As a foundation, has helped make a difference in the educational lives and futures of young people and knows that success is directly related to the support received from the community.
