Broken Arrow Director of Bands Darrin Davis Named to Bands of America Hall of Fame

Broken Arrow Director of Bands Darrin Davis was named to the Bands of America Hall of Fame, it was announced recently by Music for All, a national fine arts education advocacy organization.
Davis has led the Pride of Broken Arrow marching band to Bands of America Grand National Championships in 2006, 2011 and 2015, and Oklahoma Bandmasters Association state championships in each of his 11 seasons. Bands under his direction have also performed at Carnegie Hall and three Tournament of Roses Parades, most recently in 2017.

Davis has taught band in Broken Arrow since 1993 and is responsible for guiding 1,500 students and 12 instructors across the district.
He is the first Oklahoman to be named to the Bands of America Hall of Fame and will be inducted at a ceremony in Indianapolis in March 2020. Hall of Fame members are permanently recognized at Music for All’s Indianapolis headquarters.
