DAX HILL: The senior Hornet defensive back recently signed to play for the University of Michigan next season.

It has been an eventful month for the Hill brothers.

Dax Hill, who just completed his senior season at Booker T. Washington, signed with the school he originally committed to.

His older brother, Justice, a alum and an Oklahoma State running back, decided to skip his senior season and declare for the draft. Justice Hill also did not play in the Cowboys’ Liberty Bowl win against Missouri on New Year’s Eve. He said he would skip it to focus on the .

Dax Hill, a defensive back, committed to Michigan on Sept. 18, but he flipped to then top-ranked Alabama on Dec. 8. However, on early national signing day, he flipped back to the Wolverines.

The younger Hill, who was the Gatorade Oklahoma Player of the Year and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio earlier this month, finished 2018 with 93 tackles, including nine for losses and two forced fumbles. On offense, Dax Hill caught 13 passes for 360 yards and seven touchdowns while helping the Hornets to the Class 6AII semifinals. won the 6AII state championship in 2017, Dax’s junior campaign.

Reports from media publications indicate that Wolverine coach Jim Harbaugh continued to pursue Dax Hill despite the fact that he decommitted from the Big 10 school, which turned out to be temporary.
