Jerzy Bodurka, a leading re-searcher in advanced multimodal brain neuroimaging, recently was appointed as an associate professor within the College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa.
Bodurka is establishing a biomedical engineering program for students devoted to developing new technologies and methods to advance understanding of brain functions.
Bodurka also is the chief technology officer and associate professor for the Laureate Institute for Brain Research. He currently is investigating a new process by which individuals suffering from combat-related can learn to control activity in brain regions that are involved in emotion.
Joseph Grzywacz, director of the Center for Family Resilience at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa, has been named to the National Council on Family Relations’ prestigious Fellow status in recognition of his contributions to the field of family science.
Grzywacz is the George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair of Family Resilience and a professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science in the College of Human Sciences at .
Before joining the faculty at , Grzywacz was a professor in the department of family and community medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He received his Ph.D. in child and family studies in 1998 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The City of Owasso welcomes Linda Jones as the newest addition to their management staff. Jones will take over the duties as finance director for the city, overseeing finance and accounting functions, utility billing and municipal court.
Jones joins the City of Owasso with over 25 years experience in finance and accounting, most recently as the chief financial officer for Wichita Public Schools.
“I look forward to public service in a beautiful community where character is so highly regarded. All the people I have met have been extremely friendly and inviting. This is a dream opportunity for me,” says Jones.

Carolyn Goodwin has been named chief executive officer of Utica Park Clinic ().
Goodwin joins Utica Park Clinic from St. Vincent’s Healthcare System in Jacksonville, Fla., where she served as senior vice president of physician enterprise. She brings more than 20 years of professional healthcare experience to , having also served as chief operating officer of Bon Secours Medical Group in Richmond, Va., and as director of physician practice management for Caritas Physician Network in Brighton, Mass.
Goodwin received her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Becker College in Worcester, Mass., and her Master of Science degree in healthcare administration from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in healthcare administration from Medical University of South Carolina.
Utica Park Clinic – Jenks welcomes Physician Assistant Rachael Rodich.
Rodich received her bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences from Oklahoma State University and earned her Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Oklahoma – School of Community Medicine in Tulsa. She has experience in family practice, minor office procedures, and preventative medicine. She is also certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

The Greater Tulsa Association of REALTORS () and Northeast Oklahoma Real Estate Services (NORES) 2013 installation and awards banquet was recently held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
The 2013 presidents of and NORES were installed: Susan Beach, Keller Williams Realty will be serving as president, and Julie Tetsworth, Coldwell Banker Select, will be serving as NORES president. During the event, 30, 40, and 50 year members were recognized.
Axay Parekh, Keller Williams Realty was named the 2012 sales associate of the year for his service to the association and real estate community; Allen Stout, OklaHomes Realty, Inc. was named the 2012 realtor of the year for his service to the association and community.
In addition, Gordon Everage, McGraw Realtors, was presented with the committee chair award for his work as chairperson of the Urban Affairs Committee.

Beth Turner has been hired as the new communications specialist/ video producer for the Com-munications Department at Union Public Schools.
“We are pleased to have Beth join our team in communications and become part of the Union Redskins family,” says Gretchen Haas-Bethell, executive director of communications.
Turner has more than 15 years of journalistic experience, working in television news and print media in Arkansas and Oklahoma. She obtained her master’s in documentary film from the University of Arkansas in 2009.
Before her position with Union Schools, Turner ran her own production company, specifically making videos depicting the many programs available through Community Service Council. She also served as an artist-in-residence teaching film production for Central High School: Fine and Performing Arts Magnet. She taught the concurrent enrollment course of speech at Bixby High School for Tulsa Community College. Turner also served on the team that implemented the journalism and digital media magnet grant into Webster High School. She will continue to write her column, Trash Talk, for Newspapers.
At Union, Turner will oversee videos highlighting the many successes that surround Union Public Schools. Turner will work closely with faculty, staff, administrators and students to show the many great accomplishments and happenings each day across the district. Turner will also oversee video archives and the High School’s new Alumni Center.
Rogers State University has named Royal Aills as the new general manager for Public Television.
Aills is a television executive with more than two decades of broadcast and communications management experience. He has extensive experience as a manager for both private and public broadcast stations, including seven years as station manager for Oklahoma Education Television Authority’s operations in Tulsa.
A Broken Arrow resident, Aills earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from John Brown University.

Suzanne Taylor of Tulsa was appointed to the Arthritis Foundation’s board of directors during its annual meeting in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The all-volunteer board, comprised of key stakeholders from around the country, acts as the governing body of the organization in its mission to prevent, control and cure arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. In the United States, 50 million people live with some form of the disease.
