Georgette L. Reed has recently been named account manager with the Greater Tulsa Reporter Newspapers. She brings many years of experience to the position and has previously been associated with Cox Radio, Spirit 102.3, and Mix 96. Reed was also previously the creative arts manager with the Tulsa State Fair. She is looking forward to her new position and hopes to meet new faces everyday while helping businesses grow. Reed is a graduate from Northeastern State University where she earned a degree in business administration with an emphasis in meeting and destination management.

Richard Wansley, Ph.D., Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences associate professor of behavioral science has been appointed to the State of Oklahoma’s Blue Ribbon Committee on Incarceration of Women in Oklahoma. The committee is responsible for developing a public agenda action plan for implementation of strategies to lower the incarceration rate of women in Oklahoma. Wansley is also the chair of the Action Committee on Criminal Justice Reform and director of Oklahoma Correctional Mental Health Workforce Program.

Mike Lowe of Broken Arrow has been named Community Sales Manager for Cedar Ridge Senior Living Community, according to Anne Acker, Cedar Ridge Administrator. He has been in marketing and sales in the Tulsa area for more than 30 years, most recently with Cox Communications. Lowe graduated from Illinois College and is active in his church, where he serves as vice-chairman of the council and a member of both the Men’s chorus and the choir. He also serves as assistant director for Tulsa’s All Lutheran Messiah.

Cherokee Nation Entertainment, which operates Cherokee Casinos and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, has promoted Ken Maguire to senior director of marketing at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. In this position, Maguire is responsible for media planning, property promotions and special events. He also manages the Cherokee Star Rewards Club player development program. Maguire began his career in the gaming industry 15 years ago after attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in finance.

Willie Williams, senior operations manager for Center and Tulsa Convention Center, has been named -Tulsa’s Employee of the Year 2009. The announcement came during a staff meeting in the Tulsa Convention Center. Williams has been with -Tulsa since June 2008 and helped prepare Center for the grand opening and supervised renovations at the Tulsa Convention Center. The staff at -Tulsa holds him in high esteem and values every contribution he has made in the work environment. He exemplifies a strong, conscientious and professional manager who is a role model for all those he leads and supports.
Schnake Turnbo Frank, PR is establishing a management consulting practice and has hired Aaron Fulkerson to oversee its growth and development. Fulkerson, formerly a partner with Gabbard & Co., will serve as executive vice president and chief administrative officer for the firm. Under Fulkerson’s leadership, the consulting practice will focus on strategy and leadership, executive development, transition and succession planning, compensation analysis, individual coaching and organizational development.

The Oklahoma Dental Association () honored Ronald L. Winder , Tulsa, with the Dentist of the Year Award. This award, established by the House of Delegates, is presented annually to the member dentist recognized as having made the greatest contribution to the advancement of dentistry in Oklahoma. The award honors Winder for his distinguished leadership and unwavering service to organized dentistry at the county, state and national level.

Brent Page, Mike Owen and Matt Knight have been named partners with Atlas General Contractors. Page has been a senior project manager for 13 years with Atlas and in the industry for 27 years. Owen has been in the industry for 17 years and has been a senior project manager for 11 years with Atlas. Knight has been a project manager for four years with Atlas, and serves as the estimator and manager of the Office of Atlas GC.

Earl Denning, the president and chief executive officer of Hillcrest HealthCare System and the Oklahoma Division of Ardent Health Services, recently resigned. Denning and his family will be returning to their home in San Antonio, Texas, where he plans to devote more of his time to volunteerism and charitable organizations. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Tulsa. I hope my work here improved the health of the citizens of Tulsa and Northeastern Oklahoma.”
