Matt Colwell has joined First State Investment Advisors as money manager. A 2009 business graduate from the University of Oklahoma, Colwell was a team leader at OU’s Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth, a program established by President David Boren to commercialize OU-owned intellectual property.

Huntington Learning Center, located at 7116 S. Mingo Rd. is a supplemental learning center that focuses on skill based learning for students from grades K through adult. Huntington Learning Center announces the addition of Mindy Moring as managing director. In her new position, Moring will be responsible for marketing, enrollment, community outreach and a variety of community service and education based activities. In her new role, Moring looks forward to active center and community involvement resulting in the long term and positive impact that a solid, skill based, educational foundation will provide for each student in the center.

W. Christopher Stephens, PA-C has joined the Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center as a physician assistant. He earned a master of physician assistant studies from the University of Utah in July, 2009. Stephens has gained experience in a wide range of fields including primary care, internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, cardiology, psychiatric, women’s health, dermatology, orthopedics and cardiovascular surgery. Stephens has also gained a variety of clinical experiences with EagleMed, Paramedics Plus/EMSA and Hillcrest Healthcare’s AirEvac. He is affiliated with the National Flight Paramedic Association, American Academy of Physician Assistants, Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants and Utah Academy of Physician Assistants.

Jodi Murray of Metro Christian Academy received the Sam Kirk Educator of the Year award from the Learning Disabilities As-sociation of Oklahoma. This award is given yearly to an outstanding educator for contributing to the education of students with learning disabilities. Her students are held to high standards of excellence and accountability.

Dr. Martin Tadlock, assistant vice chancellor and professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, was announced Dec. 8 to become provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at Northeastern State University. Tadlock holds a doctorate in administration and leadership from Miami (Ohio) University and a master’s degree in English secondary education from Utah State University. Tadlock holds professional memberships with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, the Professional and Organizational Development Network, the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the World Future Society and Educause.

The board of directors of ONEOK, Inc. elected ONEOK Chief Executive Officer John W. Gibson to the additional role of president. Separately, the board of directors of the general partner of ONEOK Partners, L.P. elected Gibson to the additional role of president of the partnership where he currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer. In addition, Terry K. Spencer, chief operating officer of ONEOK Partners, was elected to the board of directors of the general partner of ONEOK Partners.

Megan Quickle, a graduate intern with Tulsa Partners, earned her bachelors degree in political science from Oklahoma State University. She started a masters program in emergency management as well this past year and will complete the program in 2011. Quickle is now working for Tulsa Partners, Inc. and is excited to complete this milestone in her life.

Brad C. Stieben, , has been promoted by Citizens Security Bank & Trust to executive vice president, and in Bixby. Stieben has over 20 years of experience in finance, operations and auditing. His responsibilities include management and oversight of the finance, accounting, operations, human resources, compliance and customer service areas of the bank. Stieben began his professional career in 1989 with the International firm of PriceWaterHouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand, ), in the assurance and auditing division.

Bob Mattax has been promoted to executive vice president, chief lending officer of Citizens Security Bank. Mattax, a graduate of Oklahoma State University, Southern Methodist University and Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, joined the bank at the beginning of 2009. Brad Kent was recently promoted to market president in Wetumka, Okla. Kent joined the bank, as a loan officer, in 1998 and is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.

Scott Mabrey was recently promoted to executive vice president, president of Tulsa Metropolitan Region of Citizens Security Bank. Mabrey has been with the bank since 1991, most recently serving as a senior vice president. Mabrey received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1998 and is a member of the Bixby Optimist Club, Oklahoma Bar Association, Citizens Security Bank Board of Directors, Board Member of Mabrey Bancorporation and a member of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

C&C Commercial Realtors announces the addition of Sales Associate Kyle Davis. Davis’ primary responsibilities will include business development, property management and sales and leasing of industrial, office and retail product.
