The University of Tulsa College of Business Administration announced the hiring of Kaci Kegler as its new marketing and communication manager for Graduate Business Programs. In this position, Kegler will plan and implement marketing and student recruitment strategies for all graduate business programs. Prior to coming to TU, Kegler was the director of development in the College of Technology at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich.

BOK Financial Corp. announced the promotion of Diane Jenkins to national sales manager of institutional asset management. In addition to her current sales leadership of BOK’s retirement and institutional trust services unit, she will also lead AXIA Investment Management’s sales and marketing efforts on a national basis. Her team will be charged with raising additional assets under management from corporations, foundations and endowments, municipalities and mutual fund channels. Jenkins will also be responsible for the internal and external wholesaling of the American Performance Funds, the bank’s family of mutual funds.

EyeCare Associates of Tulsa announced Co-owner Dr.
Dan Langley recently became a Board Certified Ophthalmologist. Board certification is a formal recognition of the highest qualifications in the chosen medical field. To achieve this, physicians must pass examinations before specialty boards that are comprised of their professional peers. A board certification examination tests the physician’s skill, knowledge, ability and medical judgment. Dr. Langley co-owns EyeCare Associates with Dr. Brian Williams, a residency trained optometrist. Dr. Langley specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the eye. He is also one of only three physicians in the state of Oklahoma who is certified to perform the Implantable Contact Lens Surgery.

The Jenks Aquarium Authority has voted to approve Teri Bowers as the new chief operating officer and executive director of the Oklahoma Aquarium. Bowers will be responsible for the daily management of the Oklahoma Aquarium including budget oversight, fundraising, donor and guest relations and strategic planning and development. Bowers joined the Aquarium staff in 2006 as communications director.

Ambitious Web Services announced Kaci Wheeler was recently named CEO of the Tulsa-based company. Wheeler has been with the company since 2002 and is involved in all facets of the business, including site analysis, web design and development, search engine placement and optimization, e-commerce, ASP programming and hosting.

AI Advance Imaging of Tulsa, a diagnostic imaging center announced Robert Skib, MD has been named medical director and radiologist. Dr. Skib has over 20 years of experience in diagnostic imaging and specializes in musculoskeletal and body imaging. Advance Imaging’s services include high field MRI, multi-slice CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and X-ray.

The Center for Legislative Excellence announced the hiring of Heather Griffin as its new executive director. Griffin’s chief responsibility will be to foster relationships with organizations that partner with CLE to accomplish its legislative goals. She will also help identify and follow legislation that pertains to CLE’s issues and concerns. CLE is a bi-partisan and citizen driven non-profit which promotes the interests of Tulsa by advancing public policy positions important to the state. CLE focuses on issues such as higher education, transportation, health care and clean water in northeastern Oklahoma and financially rewards legislators who support these issues. Prior to her new position, Griffin worked as a caseworker and field representative for Congressman Dan Boren, acting as his spokesperson at monthly Oklahoma Veterans Council meetings, as well as formally representing him at various functions across his district.

Prudential Detrick Realty of Tulsa announced Melissa Givens has been hired as a sales professional. Prudential has offices serving Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. NextLevel announced Will Reece has been named vice president of client development and marketing for the newly formed sports representation and marketing firm. Reece previously spent 15 years as a basketball coach with stints at Metro Christian, Memorial, Norman, Oklahoma Baptist University and the University of Tulsa.

The Hitachi Foundation announced Tulsan Caleb Gayle is a recipient for the 2007 Yoshiyama Award for Exemplary Service to the Community. He founded The Gayle Foundation in the 9th grade, which conducts a number of community service activities, including “Kards for Kids” and the “25 days ‘til Christmas Drive.” He is the co-founder of the Greenwood Political Action Committee, which strives to bring the historically disenfranchised Greenwood area back to a state of prominence. As chairman of the Tulsa Youth Council, Gayle advocates on behalf of youth, appearing before city and state commissions, corporate boards and private citizens.

Jenks Vision Center announced the hiring of Dr. Angela Cooper. Due to increased growth of customer, Dr. Tom Vanderpool hired an additional doctor to best serve Jenks Vision Center customers. Dr. Cooper holds an undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University and an optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn.

Mac Taylor has been appointed as the new general manager for Inn at Price Tower and Copper Restaurant and Bar. Taylor has over 35 years of management experience in the hospitality industry including 13 years experience in New York City’s luxury hospitality industry as well as extensive knowledge of the local market. In 1999, he returned to Tulsa to open the new Ambassador Hotel.

Arkansas Valley State Bank recently announced its 2007 Second Quarter Awards. Meg Otterstrom received the sales excellence award. Richard Carter was given the community service award. Matt Gibson earned the customer service award. Staci Magee received the best attitude award and LaTaunya Williams was named employee of the quarter.

Cooper, Newsome and Woosley PLLP announced the partnership’s opening in Tulsa, with offices located in the Mid-Continental Tower at 401 S. Boston Ave., Ste. 3300. Casey Cooper has many years of experience in complex litigation, including multimillion-dollar construction litigation. David Newsome is the former administrator of the Oklahoma Department of Securities and the general counsel of Williams Communications Group. Chris Woosley focuses on business law, oil and gas law and estate planning. He had more than 12 years of practice with extensive litigation experience.
