Progressive Pilates Health and Fitness, 3023 S. Harvard Ave., Tulsa’s only full-service Pilates studio, has hired a new private trainer and instructor. Keely Kish will provide private training for clients on the Cadillac, a Pilates machine that delivers a workout tailored to each client’s needs and goals, including injury rehabilitation, skeletal and muscular deficiencies, birth preparation and post-natal recovery.

Kish brings to her position several years of Pilates workout experience, including 12 years of mat and two years of cardio-intensive reformer and Cadillac. In addition to conducting private training sessions, Kish will instruct group classes in reformer and tower.

The Tulsa Port of Catoosa has named David Yarbrough, P.E. as its new Deputy Director and Operations Manager. Yarbrough was formerly the Port’s Operations Manager, a position he has held since joining the Port staff in 2006. Yarbrough, a civil engineer, had previously worked for the Tulsa office of PSA-Dewberry.

The Tulsa Port of Catoosa has named Jeff Yowell as its new Communications and Advertising Manager. Yowell was an independent public relations consultant prior
to his selection. His background includes communications posts at Gilcrease Museum and the Tulsa City Council.

The Arthritis Foundation has elected Sandra Massey Ed.D of Tulsa to represent the Eastern Oklahoma Chapter in the South Central Regional Board of Directors. The Arthritis Foundation Eastern Okalahoma chapter will merge with the Oklahoma and Texas chapters forming the South Central Region effective Jan. 1, 2009. Massey oversees the Tulsa Community College Northeast Campus as Provost and also serves as the current chair of the Foundation’s Eastern Oklahoma Chapter Board of Directors.

The Arthritis Foundation has elected Peggy Striegel of Broken Arrow to represent the Eastern Oklahoma Chapter in the South Central Regional Board of Directors. The Arthritis Foundation Eastern Okalahoma chapter will merge with the Oklahoma and Texas chapters forming the South Central Region effective Jan. 1, 2009. Peggy Striegel is the President of Striegel, a full service advertising agency in Broken Arrow, and serves as the current Secretary of the Board of Directors for the chapter.

Hall, Estill, Hardwick, Gable, Golden & Nelson, P.C., has elected Karissa K. Cottom as shareholder to the firm in the Tulsa office. Cottom received a B.A. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and her J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, magna cum laude. Her practice areas include Appellate Practice, Construction, Corporate/ Commercial Litigation, Electronic Discovery, Energy & Natural Resources, Litigation and Oil & Gas. She is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and Texas and the following courts: the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit; the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of Texas; and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma. Cottom is also listed as a 2008 Oklahoma Rising Star by Super Lawyers.

Coury Properties, a division of The Coury Group, welcomes commercial real estate agent Lisa Brandes to its commercial leasing and property management team. With 16 years of industry experience, Brandes has managed portfolios of more than 1.5 million square feet including high-rise office buildings, shopping centers, industrial parks and management facility accounts. She also brings expertise in financial reporting, construction management and leasing. Brandes joins Coury Properties from CB Richard Ellis where she represented clients such as Trammell Crow Company, Grubb & Ellis, Thackeray Partners, Dollar Thrifty Auto Group, UPS Corporate Services, Warren Professional Building Corporation, Property Company of America and The Landhuis Companies.

Currently Brandes serves on the board of the Tulsa Building Owners and Managers Association, and is a member of the National Association for Industrial & Office Properties. She also holds a Real Property Administrator designation.

Lighting, Inc. has named Mike Lemley as the Tulsa-based company’s Lighting & Energy Specialist. Lemley has more than 30 years of lighting industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology and a Master of Science degree in Management. He has earned the Certified Lighting Consultant (CLC) designation from the American Lighting Association, and the Lighting Certification (LC) from the Illuminating Engineers Society.

Lighting, Inc., headquartered in Tulsa, specializes in lighting at virtually every level and offers a full spectrum of services from design-build projects to turnkey retrofitting of existing lighting systems. The company works with electrical contractors to perform lighting audits, which determine potential energy savings and lighting improvements to increase employee productivity.

AVB has hired Gary King as Market Exec-utive and Senior Vice President for the bank’s newly built Stone Wood Hills branch in Broken Arrow. Gary has over 16 years of lending experience and has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma as well as an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma.

AVB recently hired Ange McGrew as Market Executive and Senior Vice President of the Tulsa Mingo branch. A graduate of OSU and native of Okmulgee, Ange brings over five years of commercial banking experience to her new position at the bank.

AVB promoted Kyndel Waters to Assistant Vice President. Kyndel is a business development officer for AVB and has several years of banking and sales experience. She is currently enrolled at NSU pursuing an MBA.

AVB promoted Johnny Garrison to Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of the Tulsa Mingo branch. Garrison also brings several years of banking experience to his new position. He has been with AVB since 2006.

AVB promoted Michelle Glover as the banks Internal Control Officer. Glover is a recent graduate of OSU and the University of Phoenix with a degree in accounting and has been with AVB since 2004.
