The Trust Company of Oklahoma announced the appointment of Joe L. Rodanski as Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer. Rodanski brings over 30 years of trust experience to his post, most recently including 15 years as Senior Vice President and Trust Operations Manager with Bank of Oklahoma. His banking career began in 1969 with National Bank of Tulsa. From there he moved to Bank of Oklahoma before taking a position with a Texas bank, which soon became part of First Interstate in Texas. Rodanski served as statewide Manager of Operations for First Interstate for nearly 10 years before returning to Tulsa and The Bank of Oklahoma. Rodanski is a Certified Securities Operational Professional and holds several securities licenses. He attended the University of Tulsa and Tulsa Junior College, receiving a degree in management. He currently serves on The Family Planned Giving Committee for The Parent Child Center of Tulsa.
The University of Tulsa Henry Kendall College of Arts and Sciences announced the hiring of Jan Doolittle Wilson as as assistant professor of history and women’s studies and director of the women’s studies certification program. Wilson joins the college with more than 10 years of teaching experience in the field of history and women’s studies. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in United States history from Indiana State University and earned a doctorate degree in United States women’s history from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Also serving as chair of the women’s studies governing board, Wilson will be responsible for planning courses, developing programs and recruiting students for the women’s studies program. In addition, she will continue bringing new ideas to TU by attending women’s and gender studies workshops and conferences.
Fair Isaac announced the addition of three staff members: Michelle Singer has been named account director in the precision marketing division. She has worked for Foolaloof, Consumer Logic, TV Guide Networks, Sparksfly and Littlefield in interactive project management, marketing research and brand planning capacity. Her degree in business administration/marketing is from NSU. Ronald Timoshenko was named front end/flash developer. As a student, he was Web editor for ORU Oracle and Web administrator for the Mabee Center site. At Triad Business Group, he was the primary developer for the Garth Brooks Web site. Lauren Effron, a 2006 graduate of OSU, was named account coordinator. Most recently, she was an intern with Fair Isaac.
University of Phoenix promoted Christina Medeck from enrollment counselor to enrollment manager for its Tulsa campus. Her responsibilities include advisement to potential students in the areas of enrollment, degree completion options, prior learning assessment, scheduling and payment options. She will also be responsible for the management of the enrollment staff. Medeck earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Broadcasting from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Before joining UOP, she was the assistant to the publisher at Oklahoma Magazine.
Tulsa Police Major Dennis Larsen has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief. The promotion follows a competitive process involving several written and oral exercises. Deputy Chief Larsen has 28 years of service with the Tulsa Police Department and formerly commanded Uniform Division Southwest. He is a graduate of the 185th Session of the FBI National Academy, Leadership Tulsa Class 13 and the FBI Hazardous Device School. Previous assignments with the Tulsa Police Department include commanding the Special Operations Team, Bomb Squad and Uniform Division Southwest.
Verizon Wireless named Heath Samples as the retail sales manager for the Tulsa/Woodland Hills location. Samples will oversee the day-to-day store operations, provide customer service, train new employees and promote Verizon Wireless. With over 10 years of sales experience, Samples brings a broad knowledge of the industry to the Tulsa location. He was previously retail sales manager at several Verizon Wireless locations in Houston.
Hall, Estill, Hardwick, Gable, Golden & Nelson, P.C. announced the addition of Angela L. Smoot as an associate to its Tulsa office. Smoot received a B.A. from the University of Tulsa and her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Her practice areas include corporate/commercial litigation, financial services, healthcare, insurance, real estate and tort and insurance defense. Smoot is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma.
Oklahoma State University Foundation announced the appointment of five new trustees and 10 new governors at the annual meeting of the Board of Governors in Stillwater, including Tulsa resident Bryan Close. Additionally, Tulsa residents Patrick and Patricia Cobb and Edward Keller assumed roles as new governors. Close is president of CloseBend, Inc., a pipe fitting and welding equipment business in Tulsa. He has been a member of the Foundation’s Board of Governors since 1993 and is a former trustee. Patrick is the president of Toklan Oil and Gas Corporation. Keller is the retired chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase Foundation and now serves as chairman of Summit Bank. Bank of Oklahoma and BOk Financial Corp. announced the following appointments and promotions: Gregory Collins was appointed to officer, oil and gas administrator II, in the Trust division. Previously, Collins was employed with Forsyth, Cubbage and Associates P.C. Cheryl Aust was promoted to officer, assistant in-store branch manager, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Aust has been with BOk since January 2005. Pam Bezdek was promoted to officer, assistant branch manager, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Bezdek has been with BOk since October 2005. Jennifer Ellis was promoted to officer, assistant in-store branch manager, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Ellis has been with BOk since June 2006.
Brooke Folsom was promoted to officer, assistant in-store branch manager, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Folsom has been with BOk since September 2007. Marsha Hickman was promoted to officer, assistant branch manager, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Hickman has been with BOk since November 2000. John Kayser was promoted to officer, assistant in-store branch manager, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Kayser has been with BOk since May 2006. Melissa Lee was promoted to officer, assistant in-store branch manager, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Lee has been with BOk since February 2005. Erika Massey was promoted to officer, PFS trust administrator I, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Massey has been with BOk since June 2006. Kimberlee Medley was promoted to officer, assistant in-store branch manager II, in the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division. Medley has been with BOk since November 2000.
