Farmers Insurance Group of Tulsa an-nounced agent David Bryant II achieved the company’s highest award for “outstanding overall performance” by being named to the Presidents Council. Farmers senior management meets annually at the Presidents Council with their top agency force members to review and discuss key issues affecting customers and the insurance industry.

The Oklahoma State Association of Health Underwriters announced Susan McGinnis has been named the OSAHU Dave Shepherd Memorial Health Underwriter of the Year. McGinnis, RHU and vice president of BenEx Insurance Agency in Tulsa, was presented the award by Glenda Owen, past president of OSHAU and president of Owen Benefits of Oklahoma City.

Countrywide Financial Corporation announced the hiring of Jason Oelrich as sales manage for its home loan center in Broken Arrow. Prior to joining Countrywide, Oelrich served as president and managing director of Liberty Financial group. He also worked in the venture capital industry and was licensed as a certified public accountant.

Emergency Medical Services Authority announced the promotion of Tina Wells to vice president of marketing and policy development. Wells previously served as director of community relations for EMSA, a community relations specialist for St. John Health System and as a television news producer.

PSA-Dewberry, a building services affiliate of Dewberry, announced Harold L. Adams, FAIA, JIA, RIBA has been appointed to the Dewberry Board of Directors. Dewberry is one of the nation’s leading design firms. PSA-Dewberry provides architectural engineering and interior design services for public and private-sector clients. Recognized as a leader in the field of architecture, Adams is best known for developing the architectural firm RTKL into an international business. Adams joined RTKL in 1967, was named president in 1968 and served as CEO and chairman until his retirement in 2004 when he was named chairman emeritus.

Oral Roberts University announced Mark Lewandowski, Ph. D. has been named executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. Dr. Lewandowski was previously the dean of the school of business at ORU. Prior to his experience at ORU, Dr. Lewandowski was the senior vice president of business development for National Medical Health Card and president of Provider Medical Pharmaceutical. He received a bachelors in business administration and MBA from ORU and his Ph. D. in management from Walden University.

SouthCreek Internal Medicine Group, an affiliate of SouthCrest Medical Group, announced the hiring of Lisa M. Baldwin, M.D. She will practice with Mercedes Zano, M.D., Lisa King, M.D. and Paula McQueen, D.O. at SouthCreek Medical Plaza. Prior to completing her residency in internal medicine, Dr. Baldwin was the director of Ultrasound Services at the University of Oklahoma Prenatal Assessment Center. Dr. Baldwin received a degree in radiologic technology-sonography from the University of Oklahoma and a medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

SouthCrest Hospital announced interventional cardiologist John Ivanoff, M.D. joined South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists to create Tulsa’s first comprehensive cardiovascular practice.
SouthCrest believes this level of cooperation between cardiovascular surgeons and cardiology within a single practice will strengthen their leadership in quality outcomes while setting new standards for streamlined cardiovascular care including the prevention, diagnosis, medical treatment, interventional treatment and surgery of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases.

Hillcrest Medical Group announced that Charlotte R. Stith has been named Chief Operating Officer of Ardent Health Services – Oklahoma Physician Group. OPG is the largest primary care group in Northeastern Oklahoma and includes the Utica Park Clinic and Hillcrest Medical Group. Stith has over 25 years of health care experience in Tulsa. She formerly served as executive director of SouthCrest Medical Group and as director of finance and information systems operations for physician support services for St. John Health System.

Henryetta Medical Center, a service of Hillcrest, announced Eric N. Looper has been named Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining HMC, Looper was an assistant administrator to the CEO of Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa and an administrative resident for Hillcrest HealthCare System.

Oklahoma State University Medical Center announced Eric Burch has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of OSUMC. Burch joined the center in 1996 and has served as the hospital’s chief nursing officer for the past two years. He has also served as interim COO of OSUMC since June 2006.

The American Cancer Society selected Tulsans Rebecca Sherwood and Jack Steinmeyer to served on
the Government Relations Committee for the High Plains Division, a six-state area including Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Hawaii. As members of the committee, Sherwood and Steinmeyer will assist in the decision making process for advocacy issues that impact the American Cancer Society ranging from general health care to tobacco laws to cancer screenings. Sherwood is senior vice president and associate general counsel for Guaranty Abstract Company in Tulsa. Steinmeyer is executive vice president of business development and special projects for F&M Bank in Tulsa.

Edward Jones announced Financial Advisor Leland L. Nissley successfully completed the Accredited Asset Management Specialist, a professional education program from the Denver-based College for Financial Planning. Those who complete the program, pass a final exam and sign a code of ethics and disclosure form earn the AAMS designation.

Best Lawyers in America, a national legal publisher, announced Crowe and Dunlevy Tulsa associates Michael J. Gibbens, James L. Kincaid, D. Michael McBride III, Gary R. McSpadden, Victor E. Morgan, Randall J. Snapp, Terry M. Thomas and Madalene A.B. Witterholt will be included in the biennial publication of Best Lawyers in America of 2008. University of Phoenix named Gina Goodson and Carley Warne enrollment counselors for its Tulsa campus. Their responsibilities include advisement to potential students in the areas of enrollment, degree completion options, prior learning assessment, scheduling and payment options.
