Buy Broken Arrow Campaign in the Works

SMART SHOPPING: The holiday shopping campaigns have begun and shoppers have the opportunity to win great prizes for staying local.
The 2010 Buy Broken Arrow Campaign is underway. While supporting a community during the holiday shopping season, customers will have a chance to win a large cash prize by earning tickets from purchases by participating businesses.
The Buy Broken Arrow Campaign benefits the community in a number of ways every year. Businesses are given the opportunity to showcase their unique products, promotions and services.
Also, the increase in sales tax collections enables the city to provide important resources to both the business and residential communities.
Businesses within the City of Broken Arrow Corporate Limits are encouraged to participate in The Buy Broken Arrow Campaign. All participating businesses will have a sign in their front windows.
Mostly focused on retail and dining merchants, the campaign is also open to non-sales tax generating businesses. There are many ways to incorporate their services and promotions in the campaign.
One ticket may be given to each customer per day. Many businesses have decided to award the tickets upon checkout or either while browsing in order to encourage more purchases. It is recommended that one ticket also be given for each $10 purchase. This means, the more that a customer spends in Owasso, the more chances that they have to win.
Shoppers must be at least 18 years old to participate in the Buy Broken Arrow Campaign.
The winner will be announced Dec. 20 by way of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce website www.brokenarrowchamber.com and the City of Broken Arrow website www.brokenarrowok.gov. That individual will then have only three business days to claim the prize until another ticket is drawn, naming a new winner.
A few of the participating businesses include Secret Gardens Candle Co., A New Leaf, Lowes Home Center, Charleston’s, Back Creek Deli and Gifts, Hanlon’s Fireplace & Patio, J. David Jewelry, Kay’s Gifts, and Berkshire Dental Group.
