As Tulsa Botanic Garden, established in 2002, continues to grow in the Osage Hills, just west of downtown Tulsa, the organization is expanding its upcoming events and programs and working towards the construction of its third and fourth gardens.
Owasso Hosts 14th Annual Garden Festival
The Owasso Bouquet of Gardeners is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018. The club, founded in 1998, is hosting the 14th annual Owasso Bouquet of Gardeners Spring Garden Festival on May 5 at Tyann Plaza, 9451 N. Owasso Expressway, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Herb and Plant Fest Returns for 22nd Year
The Jenks Garden Club will host its 22nd annual Jenks Herb and Plant Festival on April 28, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., filling Main Street with greenery to attract local gardeners and tourists alike.
B.A. Resident Recognized for Quality Work by HBA

Herb and Plant Fest Enters 21st Year
On April 15, the Jenks Garden Club’s annual and much anticipated Herb & Plant Festival returns to downtown Jenks for its 21st year.
The free festival opens at 8 a.m., running until 4 p.m., and will feature vendors of herb varieties, vegetables, flowers, shrubs, trees, and all other essentials for the upcoming growing season.
Rebecca Norton is at Home in Her Greenbelt
Not everyone grows up becoming one with trees, but Rebecca Norton did. It was her escape and it seems not much has changed since. As a child, the woods were a friend while living in New England, and now a licensed counselor with degrees from Louisianna State University and Amberton University, the trees are still her constant friends as her continuous work in the greenbelt behind her Minshall Park neighborhood home in south Tulsa can attest.
Botanic Garden Breaks Ground on Mabee Grange
On Nov. 10, Tulsa Botanic Garden broke ground on its multi-purpose building, the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Grange. The building will be located just west of the Children’s Discovery Garden and is expected to open in summer 2017.

Herb Festival Benefits Jenks
The Jenks Garden Club prepares to welcome spring and gardening enthusiasts at its annual Herb and Plant Festival April 25 in downtown Jenks.
The event, to be held 8 a.m.-4 p.m., will host more than 100 vendors featuring herb and vegetable plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, and gardening supplies and materials.
“We feel like the festival is the announcement of spring,” says Jenks Garden Club member Mari Migliore.
Owasso Market to Open 10th Season
The Owasso Farmers Market will kick off its 10th season at the end of April/early May. The market will run through the spring and summer months, 8 a.m. – noon on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Market Grows with Rose District
Broken Arrow’s Rose District Farmers Market kicks off its eighth season April 18 on Main Street. The market will run every Saturday through Sept. 26.
Local Farmers Markets to Open
The Cherry Street Farmers’ Market begins its 18th season on April 4 with new and returning vendors and a name change.
The market’s new name is Tulsa Farmers’ Market, which allows the market to encompass more than just Cherry Street, says Market Administrator Penni Shelton; this includes on Brookside, where the winter market (open November-March) and the Wednesday summer market (open May-October) operate in the Whole Foods Market parking lot, 1401 E. 41st St.
