CBS’ “Greatest American Dog” Winners Embark on New Adventure

Travis Brorsen and his dog, Presley will greet families in LaFortune Park April 17 to raise awareness and funds for Tulsa Boxer Rescue. The walk begins at 10 a.m. followed by a pet festival with canine contests, food, music, crafts and vendors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All breeds are welcome to participate, just bring your leash!
After winning the reality show “Greatest American Dog” in 2008, Brorsen launched “Adventures with Travis and Presley,” an educational series that encourages good manners among children ages 2-6. The company recently released the first “Adventures with Travis and Presley” book and , titled “Please and Thank You” which will be available at the pet festival.
The contents of the book and match up exactly, so children can easily use them together or separately. Working with educators to develop the manuscripts, the 20-page story book uses 140 Dolch words with an average of 7 Dolch words per page. The 3:25 video incorporates song, sounds, spoken words and visuals.
“Presley and I help children understand and develop important social skills such as respect, compassion and empathy in a memorable way,” Brorsen said. “Children, educators, and administrators nationwide have already shown overwhelming support of our live shows. The ‘Adventures with Travis and Presley’ educational tools allow access to the lessons any time, any place.”
A native of Perry, Oklahoma, Brorsen has appeared in more than 15 national commercials and guest starred in popular television shows such as Bones, Desprerate Housewives and .
Presley is a 53-pound Boxer who loves to play and show off his tricks.
