Celebrity Golf Tournament Scheduled
Tulsa Sports Charities is putting together its 11th Tulsa Sports Charities Celebrity/Charity Golf Tournament, Presented By Williams. Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White will act as honorary hosts for this exciting event.
This year, the Charity Partner in the event is the Knowledge Is Power Program in Tulsa. Since 2005, this tuition-free, open enrollment, college preparatory middle school has been changing the lives of children in the community.
Tulsa builds a partnership among parents, students and teachers that puts learning first. By providing outstanding educators, more time in school learning, and a strong culture of achievement, Tulsa helps transform educationally disadvantaged youth into scholars.
Proceeds from the golf tournament will be used to help ensure that as many students as possible can attend this dynamic educational program.
The event is being played at The Oaks Country Club (a Perry Maxwell Design Championship Course). The tournament is scheduled for Mon., May 21.
