Chamber Music Tulsa Presents Renowned Cavani String Quartet


Chamber Music Tulsa presents the Cavani String Quartet’s nationally acclaimed music education outreach to students of Tulsa Public Schools on Monday, April 12 at 10:00 am. Over 465 students and teachers from Remington, McKinley, Park Elementary and Clinton Middle Schools will attend this remarkable outreach. The concert will be held at Clinton Middle School’s new, state of the art, Performing Arts Center, 2224 West 41st Street.

The special outreach is being presented by Chamber Music Tulsa in partnership with Tulsa Public Schools, Oklahoma Arts Council, Project CREATES and Barthelmes Conservatory.

The Cavani String Quartet, rare all-female ensemble and winner of the prestigious Naumburg Chamber Music Award, has been described by the Washington Post as “completely engrossing, powerful and elegant.“ In addition to receiving the Naumburg Award, the Cavani Quartet has been a top prizewinner in numerous competitions including the Coleman, Fischoff, the Banff International, and the Cleveland Quartet Competition.

Moreover, the Quartet has established itself as a dynamic leader in the field of arts education, and has received a number of Chamber Music America Residency Partnership Grants. Nationally acclaimed for their inspiring and innovative teaching and proactive approach to residencies, the Quartet has developed a series of educational and outreach programs for audiences of all ages, including a series of children’s concerts for the Chamber Music of Lincoln Center.
