Defending regional champion Under-15 Boys 94 CASL Elite (NC) found themselves in a battle with hosts Louisiana Fire on day one as they look to get back to the national stage. In the 54th minute, CASL finally broke through to take the lead from a Yousef Asad goal. The Fire were determined though as Sebastian Pereira-Pinzon leveled the game 11 minutes later as the hosts started strong with a 1-1 result against last year’s champion.

In other U-15 Boys action, Dallas Texans 95 Red (N-TX) jumped on HC United 94/95 Red in the 11thminute with a goal from Brendan Pak. The Texans looked comfortable as they continued to pressure, but United clawed back into the game and leveled the score in the 63rd from Adam Holdeer to finish 1-1.
Under-15 Boys Brentwood 95 Premier (TN) got a goal from Murray Chidester in the 57th minute against OFC 95 of Oklahoma to start off the week with three points and a 1-0 victory.
Concorde Fire Elite (GA) U-15 Boys had the better of the game early against CESA 94 Premier (SC) and capitalized with a goal in the 17th minute by Cameron Moseley. CESA would find their feet after halftime however as they equalized five minutes after the restart from William Norris. The game ended 1-1 as each team gained one point in what is looking to be a tight Under-15 division.
In Under-14 Girls action, Mikaela Harvey recorded a hat-trick for Lonestars 96 Red (S-TX) en route to a 4-0 win over FC Alliance 96 Black (TN). Harvey scored in the 9th, 34th and 47th minutes before Madison Sanders capped it off, putting Lonestars in good position after day one.
East Lake Arsenal Elite of Florida also made a statement in the U-14 Girls as they defeated OFC 96 (OK) 3-0. Debra Hahn put the Florida side up five minutes before the break and after an own goal in the 65th, Mackenzie Geier added one more with a minute left in the game.
Under-14 Girls North Carolina champion, TCYSA 95 W-S Lady Twins, took control of their game versus Columbia United 95 Elite (SC) after 17 minutes with two goals from Alison Price. Lindsay Kubrick added a third five minutes before the end as TCYSA are one of a handful of U-14 Girls teams to take a commanding position after the first day of play.
Also coming out hot, Sting 96 (N-TX) took the lead on AFC Lightning 96 Elite (GA) in the fourth minute from a Victoria Bowman strike and went on to a 3-0 shutout. McKenna Whitaker netted just before halftime and Allison Ganter finished off the scoring in the 42nd.
