Cherokee Nation Entertainment Announces Don LaBass, Chief Financial Officer
TULSA, Okla. – Cherokee Nation Entertainment, which operates Cherokee Casinos and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, has promoted Don LaBass to chief financial officer.
As , LaBass is responsible for all of CNE’s accounting and finance activities, as well as overseeing its information technology, compliance, and purchasing and procurement departments.
LaBass, a Cherokee citizen, joined in 2005 as director of finance.
Prior to , LaBass held senior financial positions with Gemstar-TV Guide, Inc. and Financial Corp. He also spent nine years in public accounting at .
LaBass is a certified public accountant. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
Cherokee Nation Entertainment is the wholly owned gaming, hospitality, retail and tourism entity of the Cherokee Nation. The company operates Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, six Cherokee Casinos, including a horse racing track, three hotels, two golf courses and other retail operations. employs more than 3,600 people in northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas.
