Chinowth & Cohen Realtors Celebrates Grand Opening of New Office in Owasso

Chinowth & Cohen Realtors has a new office in Owasso. Located just off U.S. 169 on 116th St. N, the new location replaces the company’s former Owasso office at Smith Farm Marketplace off 96th St. N.
In the infancy stages of the company, one of the first Chinowth & Cohen offices in 2004 was in Owasso with just a handful of real estate agents working out of a restaurant. As the City of Owasso has grown over the years, the owners of the largest independent real estate company in Oklahoma have expanded their reach in the area. Now with around 115 real estate agents in the Owasso area and a growing demand for knowledgeable realtors from a powerhouse real estate company, President Leland Chinowth said now was the appropriate time to build a new office.
“We’ve got a lot of agents from Oologah and Skiatook and Collinsville, so we look at this as a north central hub of our company,” Chinowth said. The rapid growth of Owasso and its surrounding areas has positioned it as one of the most sought-after suburbs in the Tulsa metro. Chinowth said, “It’s doubled and doubled again since we’ve opened business here. We know that there are several neighborhoods being built, and we wanted to be on the forefront and part of the vision of Owasso expanding.”
The new office grand opening on Oct. 21 was a huge success. It is estimated that over 250 people attended. The event was catered by Charcuteray, with the El Rancho Grill Food Truck available, and music supplied by The Shelby Eicher Band.
Ribbon cutting by Leland Chinowth followed a speech by Gary W. Akin, President & CEO of the Owasso Chamber of Commerce. Akin explained that Owasso is the fastest growing community in the state, and it is the goal of the Chamber to maintain not just growth, but quality growth. He thanked Chinowth & Cohen for their commitment to maintaining first class representation within the community. “Chinowth & Cohen Realtors have deep roots to our city, which is a key to success,” Akin said. “Their investment, longevity, and friendly agents ensure a brighter future for Owasso residents for many years to come.”
In attendance was Owasso Vice Mayor, Kelly Lewis, who thanked Chinowth & Cohen for their contribution to the continued and exciting growth in Owasso.
Becky Zarecki, Managing Broker of the Owasso branch, said, “Chinowth & Cohen agents have a thirst for knowledge, and they pride themselves on staying on top of the market trends, data and the legal aspects of real estate. Our state-of-the-art training center serves as the perfect environment for their growth.”
