Christkindlmarkt Celebrates
Christkindlmarkt will again be presented by the German American Society of Tulsa on Dec. 2, 3 and 4 of 2011.
The Center at 15th and Terrace Dr. will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland which includes a great selection of Christmas tree ornaments, nutcrackers, smokers and gift items imported from Germany.
Additionally, there are many local area crafters displaying their wares.
There will be a large selection of imported German cookies, candies, chocolates and cakes as well as Germany’s famous Christmas Stollen.
Moreover, Christkindlmarkt offers a variety of wurst, kartoffelpuffer, apfelstrudel, schnitzel sandwich and hot beverages. The Christkindl and St. Nikolaus will walk among the booths to delight the children.
Christkindlmarkt has a Spielstube for the children, where they can watch a puppet show and listen to Christmas stories or partake in the various hands-on activities and goodies set out for them.
Make sure to add this pleasant holiday event to the December calendar each year. Good food, fine crafts and musical entertainment await visitors Friday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday Dec. 4 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
