Tulsa Tornado Recovery Update – Day 2
Serious tornado damage at the shopping center on 41st Street between Yale and Sheridan in Tulsa.
The City of Tulsa has been working with businesses in the tornado-damaged area regarding structural damages. The City is also making sure permits can be expedited to make repairs.
Damage reports have been completed by the City and Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency (TAEMA):

23 businesses affected
57 minor damages
68 major damages
4 businesses destroyed
Homes/Residences:
6 homes affected (debris, downed trees)
9 minor damages
9 major damages
1 home destroyed
Greenwaste
The City of Tulsa expects to complete logistics for the residential greenwaste plan tonight and information will be provided either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Road Closures
The City has opened Yale Avenue and Sheridan Road to traffic northbound and southbound at 41stSt. 41st St. is still closed between Yale and Sheridan at this time. The Tulsa Police Department has restricted access to the affected area and will remain overnight for safety and security.
