It has been praised by the Oklahoma Governor and local government officials and has made higher education a reality for the more than 5,000 students who have applied in the last four years.

Tulsa Achieves students begin their coursework the fall semester after high school graduation and may continue in the program for 63 credit hours of three years, whichever comes first.

In addition to their course work, Tulsa Achieves students are asked to give 40 hours of volunteer service to their community each academic year. More than 84,000 volunteer hours have been contributed by Tulsa Achieves students since the program launched.
