Council Oak Men’s Chorale


The Council Oak Men’s Chorale () begins its 15th year with its annual holiday concerts entitled “ZINGA.”

Under Artistic Director Kim Childs, presents its annual holiday concerts at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6th Street and Cincinnati Avenue, Dec. 4, 7 and 8 at 8 p.m.
Audiences are invited to welcome the holiday season while enjoying music of rhythm and energy with styles ranging from barber shop to spirituals, featuring small ensembles and solos from within the chorale, in addition to special guest clarinetist Stacy Smith.

Performances will include carols A la Nanita Nana and Carol of the Birds, spirituals African Noel and Mary Sat a-Rockin, as well as Deck the Halls, Nutcracker Jingles, Let it Snow and Elvis Presley’s Please Come Home for Christmas.

The Chorale began in 1997 as a group of 12 men formed for the World Day memorial service. The current group of dedicated volunteer singers has established an outstanding reputation for vocal excellence not only in Tulsa but also across the nation.
