County Treasurer Dennis Semler to Distribute Payments to Area Schools
TULSA, Okla. (June 23, 2010) – Tulsa County Treasurer Dennis Semler announced today the first reimbursement payment to school districts from property tax exemptions of certain manufacturing facilities. The State of Oklahoma allows property tax exemptions as an incentive to many manufacturing companies.
The first payment of the year returned to Tulsa County was $2,697,688.00. All of this will be apportioned to school districts as a reimbursement and the districts will receive an electronic deposit on Thursday, June 24.
“I am pleased to send these funds back to the schools,” Treasurer Semler said. “These districts are making do in tough times, and I know that they can use the reimbursement funding before the end of the fiscal year.”
