Cowboy Golf 11th Through Two Rounds In Austin

The Cowboys opened play with a 299 before turning in a 301 in the afternoon to come in one stroke behind Tulsa at the par-71, 7,412-yard layout. Texas posted a 287 during its second round to move into the lead at 579. New Mexico held down the No. 2 spot at 580.
The Lobos’ John Catlin and SMU’s Ben Tewes finished the day tied at even-par 142 to pace the individual race.
Redshirt freshman Sean Einhaus led OSU’s starting five with a 147 total that included rounds of 74 and 73 and is tied for 14th place.
Senior Trent Whitekiller carded rounds of 74 and 76 to stand in a tie for 32nd place at 150, while sophomore Peter Uihlein’s 152 total that included rounds of 74 and 78 tied him for 45th place.
Sophomore Morgan Hoffmann finished the day tied for 52nd place at 153 after rounds of 78 and 75.
Junior Kevin Tway posted consecutive 77s for a 154 score to tie for 59th place.
Competing individually, junior Mark Johnson posted rounds of 80 and 77 and is tied for 66th place at 157.
