Cowboys Earn All-America Honors

NORMAN, Okla. – A pair of Oklahoma State golfers were named second-team
All-Americans today as junior Kevin Tway and sophomore Morgan Hoffmann each
received the honor from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The duo joins sophomore Peter Uihlein, who was named a first-team selection
last week, as members of ’s runner-up squad to achieve All-America
status this season.

Tway was named a second-team pick after being tabbed as an honorable mention
selection each of the past two seasons. The Edmond, Okla., native posted his
third career victory this past spring with his win at the Puerto Rico
Classic. Tway also had a runner-up showing at the Linger Longer Invitational
and finished third at the Mauna Lani Invitational.

In 13 starts, Tway finished in the top 10 on six occasions and tallied a
season stroke average of 72.35 while earning all-conference and all-region
honors as well.

Hoffmann achieved second-team status after posting five top 10s in his 13
starts. The Wyckoff, N.J., native finished as the runner-up to Uihlein at
the Ping/Golfweek Invitational last fall and also had third-place
performances at the Gifford Collegiate and the Southeast Regional.
Hoffmann completed his second season as a Cowboy with a 72.78 stroke
average.

The honor marks the second-straight selection for Hoffmann, who was a
first-team pick and the Phil Mickelson Award winner as the nation¹s top
freshman a year ago.

On Monday, he carded back-to-back rounds of 67 during sectional qualifying
to advance to the U.S. Open later on this month at Pebble Beach Golf Links
in California.
