Cowboys Win Home Opener
STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State improved to 27-2 all time in home openers at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium as the Cowboys topped Oklahoma Christian, 10-2, Tuesday afternoon.
Nico Rosthenhausler was 2-for-3 with a home run and three s, while Davis Duren and Mark Ginther drove in two runs apiece to lead as the Cowboys improved to 2-1 on the season. Junior Mike Strong worked three innings in relief for the first win of his career on the mound.
Duren also added four stolen bases, one shy of the school’s single-game record and the most since Justin Colbert swiped four in a game during the 2004 season. The junior second baseman now has six steals in three games.
